Essence All About Sunrise & All About Nude: Swatches, LookBook & Review

Hi everyone!  I have been playing around with Essence All About Sunrise and All About Nude palettes this past week and wanted to share my thoughts with you guys!

First, the swatches:

Okay, the All About Nude palette is super hard to pick up on camera.  It's not that it isn't pigmented because it is, but it's just a lot of light, neutral colors.  I also doesn't help that I'm quite pale.  There are shades there though, I promise.  The All About Sunset palette is very pretty and very pigmented!  That gold is no joke.

Onto the LookBook for All About Sunrise, which I had so much fun with.  I felt like there are so many more options with this palette since the colors are more fun.

I love the looks you're able to get and this will obviously look great in the summer.  It has all of the most perfect colors!

And now for All About Nude:

You can obviously see that you're not getting the pop of color that you are with the All About Sunrise palette, but it's worth remembering that this is supposed to be a nude palette.  I guess I'm used to the Naked palettes that have a little bit more options for drama and pop.  This is strictly for more neutral looks.

Overall I really like the All About Sunrise palette but I'm not too thrilled with the All About Nude palette.  It's okay but I have more nude/naked palettes that I would rather use than this one.  I think the gold in the All About Sunrise palette is worth the $4.99 alone.  It's amazing!

Have you tried any of the All About palettes from Essence?  If so, let me know what you think in the comments below!

Profusion Neo Perle (Blue) Eyeshadow Palette LookBook

Gosh.  I am beyond obsessed with The Avett Brothers lately.  They're a band I've always come back around to for the past 5 or 6 years but when I come back I just fall more in love.  I'm seeing them in August as they're opening for the Zac Brown Band and I am beyond excited as it'll be my first experience seeing them live. I cannot wait!  If you don't know them, you should check them out.  I would suggest starting with "The Ballad of Love and Hate", then "I and Love and You", followed by "Kick Drum Heart".  If you're not hooked after that then you won't be hooked at all.  But you probably will be.  And then Mumford And Sons are back.  It's just a good time for music, kids.

ANYBEANS.  I've been playing around with the sparkly Neo Perle Profusion palette I picked up at Ulta for $2.99.  Such a deal.  I love this palette.  I love this brand.  It seriously goes to show that you can get great quality for a low price nowadays.  Claps for you, drugstore makeup.  You're my literal favorite.  If you're looking for swatches, take a wander over yonder.  If you'd like a little peak at the other two palettes that are in this happy little Neo Perle family, take a gander at my newest video!  I should be swatching those guys over the weekend and will try to get them up for you next week.  I've been busy playing with one of the other palettes that I bought the same day as the other two profusion palettes so I'll probably also have a review and lookbook combo platter of that one coming to you next week as well.  I have lofty expectations for next week apparently!

Here are some of the looks I created using this palette.  I liked that you're able to get neutral looks but add a fun pop of color with the blues or greens.  I actually absolutely LOVED the matte shades, which sometimes are the less impressive of the bunch in a lower budget palette.  They gave such a beautiful natural look that I totally dug.  At the total opposite end of the spectrum, you could get such an amazingly glam look out of this palette.  It's so versatile and I am IN.LOVE.

The Editor In Chief making sure I'm staying on task.

So yeah, pretty sure you all need this palette in your life.  I'm in love and I think you will be as well!  Like I said, I'll definitely be playing around with the other two over the next couple weeks.  I have some lofty expectations after this one.  If you're looking to snag this palette, I found it at Ulta at the checkout line in with all the mini-sized products or you can buy them on Ulta's website here!

Have you given this a try?  Is there another budget beauty brand that just keeps surprising you every time you try something new?  I'd love to know!

Also, I changed the look of the website a little bit.  I'm trying to make everything a little more cohesive.  Facebook is proving to be a challenge but I'll make it work.
