L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2 Look Book

Happy Monday!

Last weekend I was able to find the new L'Oreal La Palette Nude palettes at my local Harmon's Face Value and picked up Palette 2.  You can see swatches here if you are interested.  I've been using it for the last week and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you!

Here are some of the looks I created:

It's funny now when I look back at the looks I created how similar a lot of them look even though I used different shadows.  I do like this palette, though.  It's a different collection of colors than anything I have in my collection, however, I do find that it's difficult to get a look that isn't on the dark side.  A lot of the colors are deeper; even the lightest colors tend to come out a little on the dark side.  I'm a fan of dark eye looks but I know some people aren't, or aren't allowed to wear them to work.

All of the shadows had great staying power.  I wore the shadows over my LORAC primer and didn't experience any creasing or fading.  They were all easily blendable and incredibly pigmented.  I really enjoyed working with this!  I think the only downside I would have was, as mentioned, the fact that even the light colors in this come out a little dark with the exception of the first shade.  It makes it hard to balance the darkness when there's only one light shadow to work with.

Overall, I think this is worth getting.  Are these shades super unique?  Not really, but I like the collection of colors together.  I think they all work great together and allow you to easily create some drama.

Have you picked up either of the palettes?  How do you feel about them?  Let me know in the comments below!
