Maybelline Bold Matte by Color Sensational Lip Color Swatches and Review

Hi friends! Hope you're having a great day. Mine is going well. I'm watching Sherlock. Because sometimes, as many times as you've seen it, you just need it at the end of the day. And that is what you call addiction. It could be worse.

ANYWAY. I was so excited to see these lipsticks finally come out. I guess since the product is out I can say that I was a part of the consumer panel for these (Maybelline is owned by L'Oreal) and I knew from the packaging that they sent that these were going to be Maybelline products. It was an absolute joy to test those products and I said as much in my comments back to them. The color that I tested was a mauve color so I didn't need to pick those up from the collection since I still have plenty left.

The colors in this collection are perfect for all seasons and range from a nude to a deep wine color. There are statement colors as well as muted colors so I think there is a shade in there for everyone's tastes. Also, these were a little under $6.00 at Target so it's a great price point.

The two colors that I got are the two pinks in the line with one being a bit brighter than the other.

This one is Ravishing Rose (670) and is a great my-lips-but-better color.

And the other is Faint For Fuchsia (675) which is obviously a nice, bright fuchsia. The matte formula makes it a little less intense so if you've been a little scared to try bright colors, give this one a try. They also have an orange in the line that would be a good one to get your feet wet with.

These are without a doubt the most comfortable matte lipstick I have ever worn in my life. There is no sense of dryness that you typically feel when wearing a matte lipstick - instead your lips maintain the perfect sense of hydration with wonderful staying power. I've mentioned before that I drink pretty much everything through a straw so liquids don't do much damage to my lipstick, but even after eating I still had good staying power. I would say until probably when I had my oranges for a snack around 3:00 it stayed on quite well!

I would recommend this to absolutely everyone. They are quite new so you might not be able to find it as easily but Target seems to be the place to find them.

Have you given any of these a try? Are you a fan of matte lipsticks or could you do without them? Let me know in the comments below!
