Preview & Swatches: e.l.f. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Beauty Book

e.l.f. is at it again with these Disney Princess collections and this time Snow White is getting the royal treatment! Thank goodness these are only $10 because I would be broke since the Ariel one didn't come out too long ago (and is actually still available on if you're interested - review here and swatches here). If the Sephora ones had come out at this rate I would be in trouble! But luckily these are reasonable priced and a great value for what you're paying. Read on to see what you're getting!

As with the last Beauty Book, the art work is stunning. The cover is the absolute perfect representation of a Snow White and is very true to the Disney film.

The inside is just like the other Beauty Books that e.l.f. has put out. On the right are all the products and on the left is a lookbook. This one comes with a nice mirror which is fitting considering the story.

Now for product close ups.

As you can see, you're getting seven eyeshadows, an eyeshadow primer, a pencil eyeliner, your typical eyeshadow applicators, a blush, a blush brush and a lip gloss. To me, the applicators and brush are throw-aways but even at that there's still a lot in this palette. I've been a fan of e.l.f.'s eyeshadow primer for some time now as it always comes with the beauty books. It gets the job done for me just as well as any of the higher end primers.

Let's check out those eyeshadows! The top picture is with a flash and the bottom is without.

Colors from left to right are: I'm Wishing (shimmery white), Diamond Mine (shimmery gold), Heigh-Ho (shimmery copper), Yodel (shimmery taupe), One Song (shimmery red/bronze), Enchanted Forest (shimmery deep green) and My Prince (satin navy). I really like the colors a lot. Like the Ariel palette it pulls a lot from the actual movie as opposed to just her look. All of the colors in this palette are very earthy and I think will be great for the fall. The only disappointing shadow to me was the blue but I think with a little work and maybe a base it can be a really great pop of color. I absolutely love One Song. It's such a pretty color and will be great for a one shadow look. The only complaint is that all of the colors have shimmer so you'll have to pull from another palette for matte colors if you choose to offer some varying textures. The shadow textures themselves are smooth and buttery as always.

Now for blush, eyeliner and lip gloss swatches. Top picture has a flash and bottom picture doesn't.

Left to right: Lip gloss in Brett, Blush in Keep Singing and black eyeliner pencil. I've enjoyed the lip glosses that I've received from e.l.f. in the past so I anticipate liking this one as well. This one is red to go with Snow's lips in the movie. The blush is a nice universal peach color with just a hint of shimmer to it. The eyeliner pencil actually felt a lot nicer than the previous ones I've gotten have. I'm not sure if it's softened up since my aparement's been a little warm but I'm curious to see how it performs.

And that's it! Like usual, I'll be back in a week when I've had a chance to play with it with looks and a review.

Have you bought this or any of the other sets in the Snow White collection? What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
