Influenster Unboxing: #MKGlam

I was crazy excited that I was accepted into this Influenster VoxBox. As always, I wasn't exactly sure what all this would entail, but judging by the questions in the survey I figured it would have something to do with Mary Kay products. I'm familiar with the brand name but I've never used anything from the brand so I was excited to give it a try. I had absolutely no idea I would be able to give so much of the brand a try. My jaw practically dropped when I received the box at work.

I mean, holy crap! My hand is in there for reference (and to cover my address) and that is a big VoxBox! And the goodies only just kept surprising me. When I opened the package, I couldn't believe how much was inside!

Let's just dive right in!

We received a catalogue with all the new fancy, beautiful products that we can explore. Everything is so bright and springy and I might be mildly obsessed with the bottle for their Belara Eau de Parfum. The little card provides us with our instructions as well as a breakdown of all the products we received in our box (all full-sized, too!).

Two brushes were included in this box: the powder brush and the cream eye color/concealer brush. Both of them are crazy soft and seem to be of great quality. The powder brush is a nice mixture of firm and giving and the cream eye color/concealer brush has a lot more give to it than I anticipated it having. I expected it not to move too much but this will be good for really getting the cream color up to the lash line and blending concealer right up against the lower lash line and in the areas around the nose.

This is the Translucent Loose Powder that "controls unwanted shine all day". When I was unboxing this at work, a couple of the girls happened to be around and one of them was raving about how good this product is. I love finely-milled products like this as they generally have a naked skin feel to them that I love.

This is their Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist. Look at that sparkle! This is going to beautiful for the summertime once I get my fake tan up and running but is also a perfect color for all year since golds help make my blue eyes pop out of my face (in a good way, of course)!

This is the Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black. The shape of the brush reminds me of the one that comes with the L'Oreal gel liner. I've actually never used it since I like using the thinner brushes to get more precise, thin lines but I'll certainly give it a go!

This is the Bronzing Powder in Light-Medium. This looks to have some shimmer to it so this will probably be a more all-over Bronzer as opposed to a contour bronzer, although looks can sometimes be deceiving with the shimmer so we'll see!

This is Lash Love Mascara in I <3 Black. This mascara claims to "define, defend and deliver four times in volume". Those are some bold claims that I am excited to explore! The brush is a small, plastic, tapered brush that has bristles that taper off at the end. Should be good for getting at those pesky little lashes in the inner corner!

This is the Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush. This seems like the token NARS Orgasm dupe, which I never, ever mind. The shimmer in this blush is beautiful! Again, this is going to be beautiful on tanned skin but works perfectly for Spring time, too!

Lastly is the NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Mango Tango. This one was difficult to photograph and is a little deceiving all around because looking at the tube in the picture and in real life looks like this is a red gloss; however, when the wand is taken out with product on it, it is very clearly orange. Either way, it's a really fun color with some shimmer. Good for those warm, sunny Summer days!

And that's the box! I'm so excited to dive into everything and get to know this brand. For me personally, I never pursued it as I always associated the brands that you buy through a consultant to be on the pricey side and a bit unattainable, but nothing in the catalogue I received is outrageously overpriced and all the products are available for purchase on the Mary Kay website!

I'll be back with a full review and swatches of everything. I just wanted to keep this a strict unboxing.
