December Loot Crate Unboxing!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! I hope you're all snuggled at home and not out trying to navigate through any stores. Yikes!!

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that this will more than likely be my last post this week as I'm heading out of town on Thursday. I'm going to try to get my favorites for the year up next week so keep an eye out for that!

Anyway, onto the Loot Crate! This month's theme was Console Wars since both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 came out recently.

All the goodies revolved around gamer stuff! I'm not the biggest gamer but I do enjoy playing video games. I've been into the Disney Infinity game lately but haven't had much time to play it.

These are Grip-It Control Protectors. They're to put on the joysticks on the gaming controllers and help protect them. They also help your grip, hence the name!

This is the Split Personality Wristband by Loot Crate Labs. For those days where you're not quite sure which side you're leaning, or maybe a little of both! This is one wristband that has Gamer on one side and Geek on the other.

These are Energems by NRG Innovations. They are "hard-coated gems with real milk chocolate, a caffeine kick and B-vitamins" and I got the mint flavor. Perfect for those mornings when coffee just isn't enough! We also got a $1 off coupon for these.

A candy cane. :)

This is a Legends Never Die magnet by Loot Crate Labs. I absolutely adore this! It's so cute. I loved my Nintendo 64 (still play Mario Cart at my boyfriend's house from time to time!), my Gameboy, Atari! God rest your little gamer souls!

This is a Bravest Wars Sticker made by Mike Vasquez from

This shirt is called Console Wars II and it's from Shirt Woot!. I think we can all see what's going on here! I love the creativity with this! So neat. I'm all in. We also got a $5 off coupon to Shirt Woot!'s website.

I really like this one! This is the Tin-Tastic Creative Activity Set by Funko. I got the Raphael tin, two TMNT pencils, two erasers shaped like Donatello and Michelangelo, and a sheet of stickers. I'm all about it! In the little catalogue that comes with it they show Ironman, Rainbow Dash, Joker, Batman and Iron Patriot ones too. This is a neat set!
And that's it! Overall I really liked this one and its value was well over the $20 I paid for it.

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas! I'll see you next week!

December ipsy Unbagging

Hello!  Hope you're all having a wonderful day.  Please excuse my absence lately!  It's a little on the crazy side being almost Christmas and all (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so I've been running around and doing shopping and wrapping and crafting and everything.  I've been running a side business at work selling light-up tree snow globes so that's also been keeping me pretty busy!

Aaaanyway.  I got my ipsy bag on Friday!  Woohoo!  Let's look inside, shall we?

I love this bag!  It has that Chanel-type texture to it and it is super classy.  It's a great accessory if you're looking to get dressed up for a party and you want to keep it simple.

Who doesn't love a nice set of Ardell lashes?  This is one of my favorite brands of lashes and I love the looks of these.  I'm such a huge fan of false lashes on other people but it's going to take some work to get them on me.  Whenever I'm doing bridal makeup or makeup on friends I have no problem popping the lashes on them, but when it comes to getting them on me it's a NIGHTMARE.  But I will probably try to work them in on my New Years Eve makeup!

This is a pop beauty bright up your life eyeshadow palette in Smokin' Hot.  It's definitely a smokey eye palette!  The shadow on the left is a shimmery silver, the middle is a shimmery charcoal gray and the right is, of course, a shimmery black because what would a smokey eye palette be without a black shadow?

This is NYX's Lipstick in Iced Honey.  This is kind of a shimmery rose gold looking color.

This is a nail polish from Nicka K New York that doesn't seem to have a name, unless I'm totally blind, which is highly possible.  The only identifying thing I can see on the bottle is NY112.  It's like a greige (gray/beige) that has some purple in it maybe?

This is from Be A Bomshell and it is a One Stick in Girl Crush.  This is essentially an all-in-one stick that can be used as a cream blush, a cream eyeshadow or a lipstick.  This reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm but I'm sure it's not nearly as expensive.  I'm excited to give it a try!

I'll be back in a few weeks with a review of the products in this bag!

If I don't drop in before Christmas, I hope you have an amazing holiday! <3

December Birchbox Unboxing

My boss got her's at work yesterday so I knew to keep an eye out for the golden box.  I'm in love!  I love that their holiday boxes are always so festive.

It's even cute when you take it out of the fancy packaging!

And it doesn't end there!

I thought about using this box to put someone's present in but I think that I like it way too much to give away! ;)

We also got a Birchbox Digimate in order to celebrate the Birchbox App!  This little guy sticks to the back of your cell phone, but peels off whenever you need to use the front part to clean your screen.  Such a nifty and useful little extra.  It's already living on my phone case (I'm sure Batman doesn't mind the company).

And that's it!  I'll be back with some reviews throughout the next couple weeks!

Snow Day!

Hello from snowy New Jersey!  Even though we were only supposed to get "a dusting-one inch" we ended up getting quite a few inches.  Weather forecasters being wrong?  Color me surprised!  The roads were pretty bad so once I made it home from my boyfriend's house I decided to just stay in instead of braving the roads and heading back over.

I had ambitions of being incredibly productive but it didn't work out too well.  I discovered a few new YouTube ladies to follow and then got to some crafting, but overall, I did a lot of lounging with Macaroni.  I also got a whim to watch the Rent final performance, which was a nice cathartic cry.  I strongly associate Rent as a winter/Christmas kind of show, even though I'll watch it anytime, but something about the snow outside and the decorating made me want to watch.  I was productive for the first act and bawling my eyes out the second.  It's expected.

ANYWAY.  I was walking around my apartment taking pictures of the snow from the comfort of my couch and took some pictures of my Christmas decor as of right now so I thought I would share!
