November Loot Crate

Happy Thanksgiving Eve and Happy Hanukkah!  Such a festive time of year, no?  That's why it's only fitting for this month's Loot Crate to be Celebrate!

Inside we have a breakdown of Loot Crate's top 10 favorite Doctor Who episodes, some information about this month's Mega Crate (which is an XBox One and a PS4) and information on all the products inside the box.

This is a Batman Tyvek Mighty Wallet by DC Comics and Dynomighty.  It's actually funny that I got this because a couple months ago a bunch of us at work got a Something Box and one of the guys got a Mighty Wallet but it was an American Flag and no one wanted it!  My boss ended up with it for her birthday I think.  I remember them saying how bad it smelled and it does smell kind of weird.  Don't know if I'll actually use this since I need a big wallet but I'm sure I can find someone who will.

This is a South Park Rechargeable Mobile Speaker by Comedy Central and Beatz Buddiez.  Obviously this is Kenny.  It's a nice, small compact that I could carry around with me in my purse.  Otherwise it looks like a nice little collectible that I can keep on a shelf when I'm not using it.

This is a Doctor Who balloon by Loot Crate Labs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show.  I've been meaning to get into it but I just don't have time!  Now that shows are starting to go on winter break I might attempt to get into it but I also need to finish the second season of Once Upon A Time.  Thank God for Netflix, amiright?!

These are playing cards by Bicycle.  They had several different kinds that came in the box:  Robocycle, Stickman, Guardian, Gold Dragon and Red Dragon.  Obviously I got the Guardian ones.  You can never go wrong with playing cards!

This is a Doctor Who Police Box Wall Graphic by Loot Crate Labs.  This is removable so if you want to move it around you can.  Again, I'm sure I'll have more of an appreciation for it when I watch the show!

This is a BFAST Breakfast Shake from General Mills.  A little bit of a random product for this box but I'll take it!  It claims to give the same nutrition as a bowl of cereal and milk, and also has 8 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber.  It also has 180 calories, which I think is less than most bowls of cereal I eat!  I haven't tried mine yet but I probably will within the next couple days.

And lastly, I got this First Person Shooter Glass from Loot Crate Labs.  It's a shot glass if you can't tell.  I don't drink but this will go with my small collection of shot glasses that I've collected.

And that's it!  I liked last month's much better but not every month can be a hit.  My favorite of everything would probably be the speaker!  They also said that this is a $40+ value so not too shabby!

Also, for the next couple days, Loot Crate is having random Flash Sales that center around a certain theme.  You can find them here.  Today's is Doctor Who.  I'm fairly certain that you don't have to be a subscriber in order to partake in the sales.

So I surprisingly received another package from the L'Oreal Consumer Panel in the mail today.  Woohoo!

I received travel sized Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as a Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Coral Crush.  I already have the lipstick and love it, but I'm curious to try the shampoo and conditioner!

ipsy Review: Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Champagne

Hello!  I'm here on this blistery cold Sunday afternoon to bring you my first product review from my November ipsy bag!

This is the Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Champagne.  I've received products from Nailtini in my bags before and I've enjoyed them so I wasn't expecting any less with this one.  It is a pale yet warm pink color - dare I say champagne - with some beautiful shimmer.

I really love this as I think it's a shade that can be worn all year.  It's a great color if you want something that is glamorous yet understated.  I lasted about 4 days on me before it started chipping, and then since I'm a peeler I started peeling it off.  I'm a terrible judge of endurance with nail polishes since I generally start to pick them off after three days :-\

Overall, I definitely love this polish.  It's going to be an easy go-to when I'm not sure what I want to do with my nails but know that I want something on them.  This also is going to be a nice color for my toes!

Are there any other colors that you're loving from Nailtini?

L'Oreal Consumer Panel Compensation

Good afternoon!

Quick little post because I just received some compensation from the L'Oreal Consumer Panel!  This is for completing five informational surveys.

I received a Maybelline Super Stay 24 in 100 Very Cranberry and Kiehl's Creme de Corps Nurturing Body Washing Cream.

I feel like I've tried the Maybelline Super Stay before and wasn't the biggest fan but I'll give it another try.  It is free after all!  This retails for around $8.00.  The Kiehl's Creme de Corps is totally new to me.  It doesn't have much of a scent - it just smells like unscented lotion.  The directions say it can be used in the shower as a body wash or in the bath to give you some bubbles and skin benefits.  This retails for $22.00 on the Kiehl's website.

$30 worth of compensation for some surveys that barely took any time?  I'll take it!

If you're curious about this panel, check out my post here that gives you all the information you need!

Review: ELF 47 Piece Total Face Clutch

Hello!  So if you haven't noticed, ELF has released all their holiday stuff already.  It's in fancy, shmancy golden glittery packaging so it's pretty hard to miss!  I stood at the endcap at Target for like 10 minutes trying to pick out which one I wanted to buy to try out and I decided on the 47 Piece Total Face Clutch!

Crafting: Christmas Compilation

Hi everyone!  Like it or not, Christmas and the holiday season that comes along with it is creeping up on us pretty quickly.  I have been anxiously awaiting starting my Christmas crafting and I'm not able to hold out any longer.  This weekend I completed all my shopping for supplies and tonight I will begin on some gifts and some experimenting.  I can't wait!

With that being said, I thought I would put together a compilation of the stuff that I made last year, as well as some of the stuff that I'm planning on attempting this year.  There's so much stuff on Pinterest that I have pinned on my board of Christmas crafts so I'm going to attempt to knock some of those off the old checklist.

Birchbox Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Pure Muslin Cloth

Hello!  I'm so sorry I've been MIA.  These past couple days have been a little on the crazy side!  But regardless, I wanted to check in with my last Birchbox Review for the October box and I saved my favorite for last.  Today I will be reviewing the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Pure Muslin Cloth!

Obviously reviewing any face product is going to be very subjective as everyone has different skin problems and sensitivities.  To start, I will say that I have normal skin that breaks out rarely.  I only get oily in the summer and a little dry around my eyes in the winter.

This product for me has been lovely.  I'm a little obsessed.  The smell is amazing given that it's made with a ton of natural ingredients,  (including rosemary which is one of my favorite envigerating scents) and it feels like a mini spa treatment every night.  You can actually find a full list of ingredients here, where it lists out the natrual ingredients and what they're meant to do for your skin.

The instructions to use this is to put the cleanser on your dry face and then wipe it off with a warm muslin cloth, which was provided in my box.  I'm actually on the tail-end of a breakout and using this has really helped it clear up quickly.  I don't know if it's because of the natural ingredients or something else that is included in there but I'm not complaining!  I also feel like it's given my skin a bit more of an illuminated look to it while making it feel incredibly soft.

Overall, this is definitely a product that I will be coming back to once I go through my current products (trying not to waste money over here, even though it's soooo tempting to buy it now!).  It's no wonder Birchbox is saying how popular this product is overseas!  They say that this is something that can be used on all skin types, so if you're looking to try something new, this is totally worth it!

Random Housekeeping Note

Hello!

Just a quick little note that I added a Pin It hover feature.  If you hover over an image, a cute little green Pin It heart (courtesy of KatrinaLeeChambers.com) will appear.  Just click on that sucker and it'll take you to your Pinterest page and allow you to pin it on one of your boards!  Super easy!  Especially good if you care to try a craft or want to keep track of some makeup products you may want to check out! :)

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!  I'm planning on a mini-adventure tomorrow where I expect to take some pictures, so if that happens, I'll be back with a Girl About Town post sometime soon!  As long as the weather holds out nothing should stop me!
