Review: Revlon ColorBurst Matte and Lacquer Balms

Happy Monday!  Hope you're all having a wonderful day.  One thing that I love about Fall besides the obvious is that a bunch of new products seem to be coming onto drugstore shelves much more frequently.  There's a lot that I've picked up so I should be rolling a lot of reviews out, starting with the new Revlon lip products!

105 Demure

215 Shameless

 210 Unapologetic

125 Flirtatious

These balms come in the same packaging as the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains but aren't listed in the Just Bitten Kissable collection.  They have the same scent and tingly feeling as well.  There are two different kinds that you can get:  matte and lacquer.  These are similar to the L'Oreal Le Matte and Le Laque in that regard.  This isn't a comparison post between the two products but there definitely is a bigger color range in the Revlon collection with eight shades of matte and eight shades of lacquer.

The lacquer colors obviously had a shorter wear than the matte.  Demure had some random chunky glitter in it that I wasn't expecting and was decently glossy.  It it a nice, muted pink.  Flirtatious is beautiful.  It's less intense than I thought so it gives you that Popsicle-type stain.  There is a nice gloss to it and it just is such a great fall red.

The mattes were by far my favorite of the ones I picked up.  Shameless was the first really plumy purple I've worn and I am in love with it.  It is so dramatic and so stunningly beautiful that I never wanted it to go away.  It lasted on my lips until I started eating.  Unapologetic is equally beautiful and wore just as well.  It's a coraly-pink color that is a really welcome pop of color in this collection.

If you're able to get your hands on these I think they're definitely worth picking up.  They're so easy to put on and easy to carry around with you for reapplication later in the day.  I found mine at Rite Aid but I know they're starting to pop up all over the place.

Have you picked any up?  Let me know what you think!
