Unboxing: June Birchbox and ipsy

Hello again!  I told you I'd be back.  Let's jump on in, shall we?

Birchbox recently got a little bit of a rebranding and this is their first box since then.  The relaunch boasts more personalization, a revamped look (new logo), improved site features and more ways to discover and shop.  If you're a Birchbox member you can log in to your account and update your profile at any time.

This month's theme was Wanderlust.

As a jump-off point, I really like the new boxes with the patterned inside.  These feel more like keep-sake boxes to repurpose.

Birchbox + Color Club Wanterlust Collection:  What:  Exclusive neon pastel shades inspired by four of our favorite cities. | How:  Two coats give you an opaque, glossy finish.
This shade is called Pardon My French.  I originally got Reign in Spain, which was a pink/coral color but my Mom received this one in her box and wouldn't go near this color with a 10-foot pole so we traded.  I'm actually wearing it right now and I love it!  It comes off way bluer in this photo than it is in person no matter how hard I tried.  It's actually way more of a pinky-purple color.

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser:  What:  Two-in-one cleanser and exfoliater that magically lathers and smells deliciously lemony. | How:  Massage a nickel-sized amount onto damp skin, then rinse.
This does smell deliciously lemony!  It has a gritty texture and is definitely a sugar scrub exfoliator, which I've never actually tried on my face so I'm curious to see how this works.

The Laundress Wash and Stain Bars:  What:  A savior for those times when white shirts meet deliciously drippy food-truck grub.  | How:  Toss in your travel kit.  Rub on small stains, then wash as usual.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk:  What:  Beloved by celebs, an award-winning oil-buster that revives second-day style. | How:  Hold about 10 inches away from your head.  Spray evenly on your roots.
I'm all for trying new dry shampoos, although this one is probably a little out of my price range ($18 for full size!) so hopefully I don't get too attached!

Oscar de la Renta Something Blue:  What:  The brand's latest scent, a lovely blend of mandarin and linden blossoms.  | How:  Spritz your wrists and neck before donning your finest frock.

And then we also got these super cute postcards!  I don't plan on doing much (if any) traveling this summer but these will look adorable on my fridge.

And now onto ipsy, where the theme this month was On the Wild Side.

How adorable is this bag?!

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter:  Perfect for using right under the eyebrows for that glow.  We received a brow gel from them several bags ago that I'm still loving so I expect to love this one just as much!

Starlooks Lipliner in Bare:  Perfect for those nude lip kind of days.

NYX Mosaic Powder in Peachy:  Swirl all these colors together for a pretty all-over glow or pick out one color to use in specific spots.  I'm curious to see how this looks on me since it looks a little more like a bronzer than a blush.

J.Cat Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette in Volta:  This is really stunning in person!  It's especially wonderful since, in theory, if it's a cream glitter palette there shouldn't be any fallout.  Can't wait to give this a try this weekend as I'm sure this much concentrated glitter would be slightly inappropriate for work, no? ;)

J.Cat Eyelashes and Eyelash Glue in 747M:  These are 100% human hair and look really pretty.  I'm not a huge falsies fan (gasp!) but these look like they'll be comfortable to wear and give a more natural look.

Did you get your Birchbox or ipsy bag?  What'd you get?  Have you tried anything and loved it?  Hated it?  I have only tried my nail polish and so far so good.  I wanted to wait to take pictures of most of the stuff so I'll start working things in for tomorrow.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to watch my Phillies beat my (wishfully thinking) husband's team.  This is Jayson Werth.  Drink him in ladies, drink him in.  Yum.
