Lookbook: {Rediscovered} The Color Workshop

Whew, it is toasty outside!  I finally caved in to running the air conditioning in my apartment much to my chagrin.  I was in total denial about how hot it was outside until I came home and it felt like an oven.  Oh well, only a couple days of this and then it'll break and I can have my windows open again!

I'm back with this week's installment of my Lookbook.  I was rediscovering my Color Workshop palette that I received for Christmas, but to be fair I hadn't actually used the palette before, only swatched.  I guess it was a full on discovery!

Review: Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Soap

As much as it may be a drag, chores are something we can't get away from ever in our lives unless we are filthy rich and can afford to have someone do all of them for us.  I'm sure that's a dream that many of us have but probably will never be able to see through.  Luckily there are products out there that make these chores a more enjoyable experience and, in this case, help maintain your ever important beauty routine!  Palmolive's new line of Soft Touch Dish Soap boast keeping your hands nice and soft while maintaining the manicure you spent beaucoup bucks on or spent your time trying to perfect!

Breaking It Down: Birchbox vs. ipsy (formerly myglam)

Hello my loves!  Thanks for popping on over to my little blog.  I've been going through and adding a couple changes here and there to make it more "official".  You'll see there's a brand spankin' new bar up at the top there with some fancy navigation buttons.  I'm going to be populating that over the next couple days.  Things are getting serious!

I wanted to do a post about ipsy vs. Birchbox.  Whenever I tell people about these services, they usually only want to subscribe to one and they want to know which one is better.  That is always a personal opinion and I don't want to make that decision for them so I always give them my two cents about who I feel like the individual services are for and why you may or may not like one over the other.

Are you thinking of starting up with one of these?  Then keep on reading to figure out which will suit you better!

Lookbook: {Rediscovered} Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 1

Hello pretties!!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  Mine was nice and relaxing, which is always a good thing.  Did a little shopping, a little catching up with friends, ate some good food and watched some wrestling.  Can't complain about that!  Today I'm back with my lookbook from this week and I'm featuring a throwback!  I used my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 1, which you can find swatches of here courtesy of Temptalia.

This palette has a ton of colors, not too many neutrals, and a whole lot of glitter, which could make putting together a more work-appropriate look tough, but I did my best!  Luckily my work doesn't mind if I go a little crazy with my makeup ;)

LookBook: {Rediscovered} Wet N Wild Color Icon Palettes

Hellooo!!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a lovely Mother's Day if applicable!  Mine was long as my Mom and I always get up and do the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k in Philadelphia on Mother's Day, which starts at 8:15.  We always get there early though because we like visiting the vendors and getting goodies from them!  And then we went and saw The Great Gatsby (ah-ma-zing!!!) and had dinner.  It was a jam-packed day full of great family time.

If you saw my last post, you'll know I've been spending this last week getting reacquainted with my Wet N Wild Color Icon palettes.  I figured I'd share some looks and thoughts as I've been going through them.  Some of these were limited edition palettes but I know that three of them are permanent (Comfort Zone, Petal Pusher and Blue Had Me at Hello) and they always seem to be putting out seasonal Color Icon palettes, some of which are re-releases of prior palettes.

Rediscovering: Wet N Wild Color Icon Palettes

I have put myself on a makeup no-buy until further notice.  I have so much that I barely even know what I have, which is why I'm slowly but surely making my way through my collection so I can weed out stuff I don't want or like and make room for stuff I'll actually use.  I'll probably do a post of the looks I did once I'm "done" revisiting these products, but until then, I figured I'd take you guys through this little journey with me and I'm starting with my Wet N Wild Color Icon Palettes!

Blog Update: Part 2!

Hello again!

So remember that time when I thought that Blogspot was going to be super cool to me and if I changed my domain name that it would be super easy to just forward everything all nice and flowy and the world was gonna be perfect?  Yeah, well, I'm silly.  I changed the address to, which then meant that any links that went to went to a "this site no longer exists" error page, which meant that every blog post I ever posted came up to a dead end.  That didn't work out so well.  So I changed it back and caved in and bought a domain!  Woohoo!

The site can still be accessed through the address, but now it can be more easily accessed through  And this was after hours upon hours of frustration with Google just to try to activate the darn domain.  It has been a stressful day lol But it's all up and running and peachy keen so yay for that!

I'll probably be back tonight with an actual blog post about makeup and things so check back later!

Blog Update!

Hello all,

To those of you who may actually have this blog bookmarked, I just want to give a heads up that I will be changing the address.  As it is right now, the blog is accessed by going to  I will be changing it to on Sunday night, this way I can combine my love for makeup and my cat into one happy little name.  This also is in preparation of my eventual jump to YouTube so I can start making some videos that will go hand-in-hand with my blog.  I'm hoping to have that up and running by the end of May or early June.

I just wanted to give anyone a heads up that checked this place regularly so no one got lost in the shuffle!

Talk to you all soon!
