Christmas Crafts!

Oh well hello there.  Long time, no blog!  Life has been a busy thing.  But now it's Christmas time and I've been crafting away!  Since most of the things I crafted were gifts, I couldn't share them until they were given.  Now that they are I can't wait to show you guys what I made!

Oh, The Horror!

A few weeks ago while my boyfriend and I were doing our weekly perusing of Wal Mart he happened upon these little cupcake toppers.  Since then he has been excited to make Jason Voorhees cupcakes.  Seeing as how I was feeling incredibly domestic this week (I even made dinner.  I cooked.  It's a rare occurance.), we decided to give it a try.  I have to say our results are pretty awesome.  Seeing as how he's far more artistic than I am when it comes to drawing and actually making things look recognizable his came out better but I enjoyed the project!  And I think he was just a tad bit excited to have something pinned on Pinterest. ;)

Complaining About Sports Fans (Which I Can Do 'Cause I Am One)

I have been a sports fan since I was in about fifth grade.  Okay, probably earlier than that.  Let's say I remember being a die hard sports fan since I was in fifth grade, but I grew up around hockey (which is incredibly common when you grow up twenty minutes outside of Canada, a.k.a. Buffalo, NY).  I remember going to see the Buffalo Sabres practice many a weekend and going to my brother's hockey games (and almost hitting Mike Faligno in the head with a hockey stick, which in and of itself is another story and photo that maybe I'll share at a later date).  It was fifth grade when it really caught on, though.  Our whole class was obsessed.  We all had our favorites (mine being Matthew Barnaby, the resident bad boy), we would talk about the games, my friends and I would spend our Sunday afternoons crammed around the TV to take in the game.  I guess when you look at it from a non-sports town perspective the thought of a bunch of fifth grade girls gathered around the television watching one of the more brutal sports out there is kind of interesting, but it's what I grew up with and it's what I have carried along with me to this day.

Gift Wreaths!

And the wreathing continues.  This is probably one of my favorite things ever now.  I love how creative you can be with these!  Colors combinations, decorations, you name it.  I went into JoAnn Fabrics the other day and had to fight off buying Christmas stuff already because I just wanted to start making Christmas wreaths!  I'm giving myself until October and then it's on.

e.l.f. Villainous Villains Makeup Sets Photos & Swatches

Since I saw a post on Nouveau Cheap telling me that e.l.f. was releasing three limited edition Disney Villains makeup sets I was bound and determined to find them.  They are only available at Walgreens and when I used the "Find A Store" function on the e.l.f. website, no Walgreens in my immediate area came up.  I went to a couple anyway with no luck.  Today I had to go over to Pennsylvania to get my car serviced so since I took the day off from work I headed out a little early to hit up a couple of the Walgreens over the bridge.  The first one didn't have any but the second one had all three!  I was so excitied!  So without further ado, here are the photos and swatches!

Target Fashion Haul

I love shopping for clothes at Target.  Nine times out of ten when someone asks me where I got a cute dress, I got it at Target.  I am a huge Target whore!  To add extra excitement, Fall is my favorite season.  I love sweaters and tights and boots (which actually fit over my calves this year!!!  Yay for losing weight!!).  I just love being cozy.  Last week I took a trip to Target for totally un-clothes related things and ended up coming out with more clothes than what I actually came for.  Oh well, these things happen...

More Wreaths!

I meant to make this post so much sooner but I ended up having a pretty busy/tiring weekend!  Saturday we had a wrestling show in Lewistown, PA for Central Pennsylvania Wrestling where I ring announced.  We had a great crowd and featured ECW and WWE alumni Tommy Dreamer and Sandman.  It was a great show and a ton of fun as always!  On Sunday we drove down to Baltimore for Baltimore Comic Con.  I got a couple things but didn't go too crazy but we had a good time!  I love seeing all the art and the costumes!

I just wanted to post a couple new wreaths that I had whipped up.  This has grown into my new obsession!  They're so fun to make.  The worst part is cutting the tulle but I think I'm just going to designate days to cut tulle so I don't have to do it every time I go to make a wreath.  I have a couple more on my list and a bunch more in mind that I want to make so I'll be keeping the posts coming to show you guys what I come up with!

Maybelline & Sally Hansen Swatchfest

Even though I vow to myself every now and again that I'm not going to buy more makeup for a little while, I inevitably end up buying makeup anyway.  I get caught up in the fall limited edition stuff and I'm a sucker for the Maybelline Color Tattoos and the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows so whenever new ones are out I'm all over them!  So this post will bring some swatches of the limited edition Color Tattoos that I found as well as some nail polishes that I'm in love with!

Jack-O-Lantern Wreath

So I think most, if not all of us, have fallen into the wonderful bottomless pit that is Pinterest.  I can spend hours on that site just pinning away every single thing that I see.  Problem is, I never really actually do anything with all the pins.  But I'm vowing to be better about it and actually try some of the food I'm pinning (especially since most of it is pumpkin and fall is coming!) as well as some of the crafts.  So with all that being said, I would like to show you my adventure in my first wreath!

Oh, well hello there!

Hai!

Welcome to Something To Blog About, my blog where I will post about, well, anything.  Makeup is my first love and may or may not end up being a big focus.  I also have a notion to start being more crafty so hopefully I can share some of my successes and, more likely, failures with you!  I also love my kitten, Macaroni, so yeah, there's probably going to be a lot of her too!

I'm involved in the crazy world of Professional Wrestling on the most minor of minor scales lol I'm a ring announcer as well as valet/manager in two companies in Pennsylvania.

I have what most would probably call an unhealthy obsession with Hello Kitty.  I have a sizable collection of all sorts of stuff that I always want to photograph piece-by-piece so maybe I'll do that someday.

Soooo yeah, that's me.  I'll be back with something more concrete soon!
