It with mixed emotions that I have decided to no longer keep this an active blog. This blog WILL still be available to browse but will no longer be updated. I've enjoyed having this blog but I felt a little cornered having "makeup" in the name and not really wanting to blog about makeup. I still love it, it's just not as much of a focus as it used to be.
I have started a new blog, Over The Moony, which I JUST got up and running a couple minutes ago, but I'm looking forward to a new journey on a new blog that I can really shape into something I'm excited to keep up with. Please go check it out and drop me a line.
I really appreciate you stopping by and I hope to see you over in the new space!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a great Mother's Day! My mom and I enjoyed the day outside by going to Bartram's Garden in Philadelphia and then going to our traditional Phillies game. We sat in the Hall of Fame Club, which was quite a treat!
I wanted to share some of my photos from the Garden with you guys. It's free to go to and its small enough that you can walk around in a couple hours. There are plants from all over the world and home to some of the oldest plants in the country! John Bartram's hand-built house is also still standing but they are doing some remodeling to it so we weren't able to go in but it was still really neat to see the house. Everything was blooming and the grounds were so pretty!

First, the swatches:
Okay, the All About Nude palette is super hard to pick up on camera. It's not that it isn't pigmented because it is, but it's just a lot of light, neutral colors. I also doesn't help that I'm quite pale. There are shades there though, I promise. The All About Sunset palette is very pretty and very pigmented! That gold is no joke.
Onto the LookBook for All About Sunrise, which I had so much fun with. I felt like there are so many more options with this palette since the colors are more fun.
I love the looks you're able to get and this will obviously look great in the summer. It has all of the most perfect colors!
And now for All About Nude:
You can obviously see that you're not getting the pop of color that you are with the All About Sunrise palette, but it's worth remembering that this is supposed to be a nude palette. I guess I'm used to the Naked palettes that have a little bit more options for drama and pop. This is strictly for more neutral looks.
Overall I really like the All About Sunrise palette but I'm not too thrilled with the All About Nude palette. It's okay but I have more nude/naked palettes that I would rather use than this one. I think the gold in the All About Sunrise palette is worth the $4.99 alone. It's amazing!
Have you tried any of the All About palettes from Essence? If so, let me know what you think in the comments below!
